An expat friend referred me to Colombian Business Services as I was deciding whether to bother with the hassle of getting a visa or not. After a quick meeting in their Bogota office the steps and best type of visa were clearly outlined by their bilingual specialists Laura and Andres. I decided on the spot to go for the visa (a TP-7 independent work visa), paid the firm's fees on the spot, and that night I was able to email them all of the required forms in less than half an hour (not very complicated). I returned the following day to fill complete a few of the details with Laura and Andres and afterwards went to notarize a few forms that gave Laura the legal power to do all of the busy work. This was on a Friday. A few days later on Monday my visa was approved and ready for me to pick up. After that the only task left was for me to apply for my cedula in person (again very simple) and then collect it a few days later. I am pleased with the speed and ease of obtaining the visa. I'd prefer not to deal with the uncertainty, running around to different offices, and other hassles it would have taken me to do this on my own. The price of the services are not cheap but I haven't compared it to the competition either. Well worth the price in any case. I highly recommend C.B.S. and am glad they could help me so quickly and straightforward.
